Graceful Ascent is part of my Waterworks series .
With the woman gracefully swimming and ascending to the surface, I wanted to capture an overall atmosphere that is serene yet dynamic, capturing a fleeting moment of tranquility and transformation. Her reflection slightly warped by the undulating waves, creating an abstract interplay of color and form, thus evoking themes of freedom, rebirth, and the delicate balance between reality and illusion.
This painting was made with oil paints on a gallery canvas, which does not require framing, as the sides are painted.
