Cold Morning was inspired by the quiet, untouched magic of a winter wilderness — a scene where nature speaks softly, yet powerfully, through light, shadow, and silence.

As I painted the two wolves wandering across the snow-blanketed ground near a frozen lake, I imagined them as lifelong companions, moving wordlessly together through their territory at dawn. The sky glows faintly with the first colors of sunrise, casting a soft, pearly light on the snow, trees, and water. There’s a stillness here — a pause before the day begins — filled with breath, frost, and a deep sense of presence.

This piece came to life during a moment of personal reflection, when I found myself drawn to themes of companionship, survival, and the serenity of the natural world. The wolves, while wild, exude calm and awareness — embodying the quiet strength that often goes unnoticed in the chaos of daily life. I wanted to capture the kind of beauty that doesn’t demand attention, but rewards those who stop and look closely.

Cold Morning tells a story of harmony and connection — between two creatures, between land and sky, and between the viewer and the peaceful rhythm of the wild. It’s a reminder that even in the coldest seasons, there is warmth in presence, partnership, and stillness.
