I painted this piece to capture the peaceful beauty of a secluded pond, where pink waterlilies bloom gracefully atop gentle ripples. The pond is encircled by lush greenery, with tall grasses and distant trees adding layers of depth to the scene. The large willow tree on the right side of the painting extends its long, drooping branches, their delicate leaves almost brushing the water’s surface. The sky above is softly clouded, allowing light to filter through and cast a calming reflection on the pond. I aimed to create a tranquil, meditative mood, where nature’s quiet presence invites stillness and reflection.
