This painting is part of my AQUATERRA series.
This piece was born from a moment of stillness and reverence I experienced while watching a nature documentary. As an artist drawn to both the ocean’s depth and the emotional language of animals, the orca’s silent power and grace moved me deeply. I imagined the freedom of that leap—not just as physical motion, but as pure, joyful expression.
In creating this painting, I wanted to blend realism with a sense of magic. The orca became the centerpiece of a dreamlike symphony between sea and sky, motion and silence. I imagined this not just as an animal in its environment, but as a musician performing in nature’s concert hall—each splash and ripple a note, each glint of light a harmonic echo.
