I’ve always been fascinated by the symbolism of horses—strength, freedom, untamed nature—and I’ve long imagined a scene where they run not through meadows or plains, but along a shoreline where sea and sky collide. That vision finally pushed its way onto the canvas.

As I painted, I could feel the rhythm of the waves mirroring the rhythm of hooves. Each brushstroke in the foamy surf became a heartbeat, each glint of sun on wet sand a glimmer of vitality. I wanted to capture that fleeting moment when earthbound creatures seem to defy gravity, when hooves lift and splash and soar, chasing nothing but the wind.

This painting was made with oil paints on a gallery canvas, which does not require framing, as the sides are painted. Ready to hang on your wall!
