Awakening is part of my Altered Realism series.

In this painting, by using realistic style combined with abstract and surreal elements, I tried to create an interesting visual contrast, and capture a sense of reflection and introspection to one’s inner self through sleep and awakening from that sleep.

This painting was made with oil paints on a gallery canvas, which does not require framing, as the sides are painted.
