This painting was made with acrylic paints, which are water-soluble in paint form, but get hardened, water-resistant, and highly resistant to scratches once they dry. The painting also contains some lightly applied golden glitter. The finished work has been sprayed with archival varnish, which extends its longevity and further protects it from dust and scratches.
How to care for your acrylic mixed media painting?
For cleaning purposes, dab lightly with a dry cloth or a feather duster (for those nooks and crannies). Some of the glitter may rub off in the process, so excessive dusting and direct touching should be kept minimal.
Acrylic paints will not yellow or fade with the passing of time. However, to maximize its longevity, the painting should be kept in a dry place, away from direct sunlight or excessive heat.
