I am currently working on a series of water-themed oil paintings. My aim is to evoke a sense of calm and serenity surrounding my main figure immersed in water or around water, while try to depict the fluidity, movement and translucency of the water itself using techniques ranging from impressionism to hyperrealism. Whether it is a tranquil seascape, a vivid underwater scene, or a turbulent stormy ocean, water themed paintings have an enduring appeal for me that continue to captivate me, and hopefully I can convey this feeling and emotion to the viewer.
